Orders of Protection
Under the Arizona Revised Statutes, a person may file a verified petition with a judge for an Order of Protection for the purpose of restraining a person from committing an act included in domestic violence.  In order The petition must be stated with specificity and keep in mind that any judge will review the petition along with any other pleadings on file.  So if there is any history between the parties whereby the petitioner has initiated violence against the would be restrained party, the Judge may deny the petition.
