If you have been charged with Robbery in the State of Arizona, call The Law Offices of Randall J. Craig right away.  Robbery is a class 4 felony and is found in ARS 13-1902 of the Arizona Criminal Code.  We are seeing an uprise in these types of offenses in light of the declining economy.  We are also seeing more and more of these charges arising out of divorce situations.  Here is what we are seeing.  The typical divorced couple begin arguing over property and how to split it up.  Either one of the spouses coerces the other into surrendering the property. In retaliation, the alleged victiim calls the police and tells the law enforcement officer that he or she had been robbed.  It is important to know that in our state, "threat" means any verbal or physical menace of imminent physical injury.  As such, if one person says, "give me the car or I wll take this cluh and make sure  you suffer"  you can be charged.
