VIOLENT CRIMES

There are at least 10 common ways to commit aggravated assault in Arizona.  We usually see these cases whenever someone causes a serious physical injury and or a deadly weapon is involved like a gun. Sometimes a dangerous instrument is used and in Arizona, that can include almost anything.  For instance, did you know that a dangerous instrument can include a car?  It is true. Under ARS 13-105 "Dangerous Instrument" means anything that under the circumstances in which it is used, attempted to be used or threatened to be used is readily capable of causing death or serious physical injury.  We see these kinds of cases again in situations where a couple are divorcing.  The usualy scenario is one party is dropping off their children at the other parents home for visitation.  One party says something offensive to the other.  The party who is still in control of an automobile will gun the gas and scare the alleged victim.  Another scenario is outright recklessness.  One party is simply reckless behind the wheel while under the influce of alcohol.  Be careful whenever you are behind the wheel of an automobile because the laws in the State of Arizona are loosely written to charge you for a crime if appropriate.
